About me

Broadcast editor since 2002, beginning in fast-turnaround national news for the BBC. I now work in Specialist Factual, Observational Documentaries, Factual Entertainment, Arts and Scripted Drama. Credits include BBC1, BBC2, ITV, Channel 4, National Geographic and Discovery; also the ABC, SBS and commercial networks during a decade living in Australia.
In the non-broadcast space, I have created branded content and other video assets for organisations that include Ebay, XR and the NHS.

I have also worked as a director and videographer on several short-form documentaries for broadcast, corporate clients and film festivals.

I am an experienced and confident storyteller with solid editorial skills and proficient technical knowledge. I'm used to working in a variety of ways - proactively and independently, or in close collaboration with a director or edit producer in the suite. I have a strong work ethic, good sense of humour, an eye for detail and an ear for music, proven problem-solving skills and am always calm under pressure.

I edit on Avid and Premiere Pro. Have a working knowledge of animation and motion graphics using After Effects; and image manipulation and enhancement using Photoshop. Also proficient in the use of HD cameras, audio recording and studio lighting.
