About me
I have been using Photoshop for around 14 years and have learnt a lot about all it's uses. One area I have fallen in love with is photo editing and airbrushing. I worked for 3 years for a company called Brandbank, one of the leaders in online shopping imagery. I would airbrush and re-size images for Tesco, Sainsbury's and Asda. I was then put in charge of airbrushing Waitrose images, which were slightly more complicated and needed a higher standard of finish. This also included trimming and cropping products, such as lamps, kitchen furniture and utensils, clothing, food items and cuddly toys. Basically anything you can buy in store. I would QA others work and upload thousands of images into the system, ready to go live on the websites. I would also photograph the initial images in the studio, ready for retouching. I have experience in photo repair, image improvement and retouching. From old family photos needing repair, to removing leaves and pipes in a dirty swimming pool to make it look clean and bright for holiday advertising. (Images available to see standard of work) I have colour matching experience and have a few techniques to ensure a high standard of colour matching. I recently did some freelance work for a shoe company that had images which were poorly photographed, the problem was that the photographed images did not match the colour of the item being sold. I matched all of the shoe colours and retouched all the images. I have an excellent work ethic, especially with retouching as I enjoy it so much. As a lot of the work I do is freelance and sourced out to me, I work from home a lot and have learnt to work hard independently, in order to meet strict deadlines. I enjoy creative thinking and like a challenge. I would love to be able to do more retouching work on a more ongoing basis. I understand the importance of image quality and consistency in today's market and will always work hard to achieve the highest standard of finish to anything I am working on.
