About me
I am a tea enthusiast and "bookwarm" - that warmth I feel every time I can sit down with a cup of tea and read - for whom literature and books are the greatest of passions and who loves and tries regularly to keep up with the cultural world.
From 2008 to 2011, I attended a BA course in Modern and Contemporary Languages and Cultural Studies, whose main focuses were English and Spanish language and literature. From 2011 to 2013, I attended an MA course in European, American and Postcolonial Languages and Literatures at Ca' Foscari University of Venice, specialising in English and receiving a final mark of 110L/110 (full marks with honour). During these courses, I had access to an in-depth knowledge of English, meant as English literature, culture and language. Through a deep study and analysis of the language, I expanded and strengthened my ability to write in English, thus approaching a native-speaking level and competence. Furthermore, I particularly enjoyed the study of literature, which helped me to develop the intellectual ability to connect and relate literary texts which are apparently far apart.
As far as my work experience is concerned, in 2013 I worked as an intern for the 5th edition of Incroci di Civiltà, a literary festival which takes place every year in Venice. I worked as a tutor for two international guest authors, Michael Ondaatje and Linda Spalding, and at the various aspects of the festival organisation. Furthermore, in 2015 I worked as an intern at RoosterGNN, a non-for-profit news agency based in Madrid. My job was to weekly write and publish two cultural-themed articles in English on the RoosterGNN website. My choices and work had constantly been checked and approved by the editorial staff of RoosterGNN. I learned very much from this internship, especially to meet deadlines and to exercise my creativity and capacities of writing in English for a non-academic readership. In 2016, I was a contributor for The Urban Watch, an online magazine whose main focus is to tell stories about London and New York. I contributed to its cultural section, with articles about cinema, exhibitions, cultural events and the development of the cultural London scene. Finally, I contribute to The Social Jungle, an online magazine devoted to the social sciences and personal experiences to explore the mechanisms of society.
Recently, I worked as Content Marketing Associate at Netz, a fin-tech start-up based in London which provides lead generation and financial intelligence. Here, I was in full charge of Rhombus Lifestyle, the marketing blog of the company. My main tasks consisted of regularly writing posts for the blog targeting HNWI (high net-worth individuals) and curating the front-end aesthetic of the blog. During this experience, I learnt how to use professionally WordPress and other marketing tools, such as Hootsuite and Crowdfire, along with a professional use of Google Calendar and Google Drive as I was also in charge of the blog Twitter account, which I regularly updated.
Hence, I am confident I have the skills and motivation to succeed as copywriter in your company. I am interested in improving and broadening my skills and my capacity for working in a team. I am flexible, able to work under pressure and to meet deadlines and I can work well in team as well as independently. Finally, I am interested in learning new competencies and your company gives the opportunity to learn and develop new skills as well as to learn how to manage important tasks and also to develop technical skills.
