About me
Due to a diverse career and education, I have worked on distinctive projects and have served as an educator at several academic institutions. After studying fine art and design at the undergraduate level, I continued to study art direction, graphic design, and photography, which led to a profession in design and visual communication. I have spent the last fourteen years working on information and interaction design projects. Specifically, my focus has been on projects within built environments across a variety of disciplines that include wayfinding and experience design, identity design and brand management. In recent years I have engaged in graduate work in information architecture, wireframing, and user experience/interaction design leading to mobile application and data visualization projects. *XGD is a design discipline that uses graphic design elements to communicate information to users statically and digitally in built environments (e.g. office, hotels and other themed spaces).
