About me
I am Cristiano Matricardi. I am Ph.D. in material science.
My professional and scientific growth followed a transverse and multidisciplinary
path. A bachelor's in chemistry and master's in inorganic and physical chemistry
built my first scientific background. It helped me to have a grasp of several
concepts that have been playing an important role in my professional career.
With a Ph.D. in nanotechnology focused on plasmonics and optics I had the
opportunity to widen my knowledge merging the passion for chemistry with
other fields as engineering, nanofabrication, and physics. Furthermore, thanks to
the multidisciplinary and international environment in my research group, I am
training transversals skills, improving my teamworking, organizing, and problem-solving skills.
During these years I have been actively involved in several science dissemination
events as well as in a local congress organization. I had the opportunity to give
scientific talks to different target audiences and to produce award-winning photos
for science communication. Furthermore, I trained my skills in scientific
writing/editing in publishing my works in scientific journals. I am
creative, independent and willing to grow in the editorial world.
