About me

I have 19 years' successful experience in small to large-company network and hardware/software maintenance, project management and client support over a very wide range of hardware and software types, Microsoft, Linux, Novell and MAC. I have attained MCSE 2000 and am looking to upgrade . I am used to being individually responsible for new network projects: taking the brief, designing and implementing effective solutions, having control of substantial purchasing budgets, working closely with suppliers, familiarising new users with the resulting servers, work-stations, network protocols and related applications, and putting in place reliable systems of maintenance. I originally learned my way into the IT business by running my own computer service and sales company and I know what the commercial pressures on a company are. I am equally comfortable working in a team to senior management orders, or contributing to projects as a hands on consultant. I am looking for a position where I can put both my excellent interpersonal and technical skills to good use to add value to a company's bottom line.
