Career profile
During my working career I have developed a wide range of graphic design skills which include; idea generation for design and advertising projects, brand concept design, development and implementation. I have also developed a keen understanding of how best to layout a page, taking what seems to be a complex
and disparate collection of words, images and ideas and developing them into a product which is easily accessible by the recipient. I also have experience of art directing photographers and illustrators and working with 'outside design resources'. I am just as happy working solo as I am in a team.
My graphic design career began by working for corporate identity consultants Henrion, Ludlow & Schmidt where I progressed from junior designer to middle weight designer. While at HLS I worked on a number of different design projects. These included annual report and accounts for Amersham International. Brand design, development and implementation for London Electricity, Uponor, GKN Keller and Pillar Electrical. Other projects while at HLS included ticket design, branding guidelines for London Underground and Emergency Exit signing for UK Main Line stations underground.
Moving on to David Lock Design I designed a brand identity for Cranfield Institute of Technology, staff motivation posters for Barclays Bank and corporate literature for The Economist.
