Dear Sirs

I am writing to express my interest in the Graduate or Junior Interior /3D /Retail Designer position.

I have recently graduated with a BA (Hons) in Interior Design from the Glasgow School of Art. Over the last four years I have worked both independently and with professional assistance, gaining a variety of skills and experience. As the course is mainly self-directed learning, I am confident in my capability to adapt to any environment and undertake any task required to a high standard.

I have a specific interest in retail and exhibition design, demonstrated in my portfolio, which features three projects from my final year; a bicycle shop, an exhibition and a food bank, but during the previous three years of study, I worked on a wide range of other projects, including a restaurant, hotel and offices for example.

In each project I have worked on I have designed many of my own fixtures, fittings and pieces of furniture, aspects which interest me and are demonstrated throughout my folio. I have also incorporated branding into each of my designs, and try to create a unique customer experience in each environment I design. I am proficient in Vectorworks and Adobe Creative Suite and have excellent communication skills.

I am an enthusiastic, creative individual who is keen to learn and would be grateful for the opportunity to work for you.
