Ref- Copywriter

Dear sir/madam,

I am extremely interested in applying for the above position as advertised on Creative Pool on the 27/3/15 because I feel I have the skills and experience required for the role. I also feel my eagerness to learn new skills and know more about the position would make me an excellent candidate.

The skills I feel that I bring and would benefit the position and your company include:

· Excellent IT skills, including good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Adobe Dreamweaver and InDesign.

· Good interpersonal skills and brilliant when working with others, also having the ability to work effectively to deadlines.

· I am focused to working to targets and working until the job is done with an excellent attention to detail, grammar, spelling and punctuation.

· Excellent punctuality and timekeeping (I arrive early and leave late, not the other way round).

· Positive approach to repetitive tasks and also very creative and looking to write a successful novel too.

My experience includes interning for a local marketing agency learning vital copywriting skills. I produced content for the agency website and provided press releases and work for their online blog. I shadowed the managing director who taught me the basics of the marketing sector. I was able to learn the basics of SEO and the importance of Content Management Systems and how they are integral for content and was introduced to B2B and B2C. I also interned for a copywriting agency for a week in London, practicing my copywriting skills and providing work for their large automotive client. In addition to this, I was a proofreading volunteer for a local college helping develop their online courses for students. I have recently finished an internship with Boxchilli, a local marketing agency in Portsmouth, developing content for their website. My recent position was a paid employee for Gorilla Digital as an SEO specialist, providing blogs for the range of clients to help increase traffic towards their sites. I also have experience of Hootsuite to assist in Social Media campaigns while producing content for clients websites.

Just as an aside until recently I was a Youth Journalism Coach. My key responsibilities were to

■ Support 13-16 year old students in writing journalism articles.

■ Critique and edit students' articles.

■ Provide support at journalistic events.
