About me

I work as a freelance illustrator under my brand name C is for Colette. My brand encompasses illustration services as well as a variation of personally designed stationary products available for purchase.
My artwork is rooted in storytelling, vibrant imagination, and a deep connection to my inner child and nature. Having pursued a degree in Animation Production at the Arts University Bournemouth in the UK, where I directed my short film Un Mare di Memorie, my passion for image making continued after my studies, which led me to a career in illustration.
Inspired by the poetic minimalism of animator Michael Dudok de Wit, my style blends whimsy with emotion—capturing quiet, magical moments between people and the natural world. Having relocating from the UK to Singapore in 2017, I've drawn inspiration from Asian culture and daily life, which continues to shape the heart of my work.
Through my illustration work, I aim to create a sense of wonder and connection—resonating across cultural and language barriers and inviting viewers into a world that is both playful and deeply personal.
