Contrast Foundry (CoFo), established in 2014 and based in the San Francisco Bay Area, is a diverse, international collective of eight passionate designers. Known for our classy and functional multilingual typefaces, we pull inspiration from history, cityscapes, and the vanguard of technology. Our roster of clients spans across industries and includes names like BBDO, Comme des Garçons, Google, Pentagram, Redmadrobot, and the Strelka Institute. From cultural institutions and non-profits to fashion brands, IT giants, and real estate developers, our typographic touch knows no bounds.

Our expertise extends beyond type design to include collaborations with agencies and in-house teams. We shape custom fonts and wordmarks, conduct workshops to pinpoint client needs, and craft typefaces and logotypes that flawlessly transition across platforms and mediums such as branding, packaging, the web, and apps. We also delight in collaborating with brands to create cohesive and impactful visual identities.
