About me

I've been working as a Graphic Designer for over six years now, having graduated from University with a degree in Graphic Communication. Though I enjoyed University and consider my time there the most creatively inspiring, it has been my time in employment that has provided me with the most valuable experience.
Employment has taught me about deadlines, working with customers to satisfy their needs, preparation for the printing process and all the technical issues that so commonly arise in graphic design with fonts, colour separations, bleed etc. It has also taught me about the importance of balancing creativity with time scales.

I've been using Macs and Graphic Design software for several years and consider myself very skilled within the Adobe range of products and have been using the Adobe Creative Suite for several years. I have also have experience in using Quark XPress. I have a basic working knowledge of Freehand and the Microsoft applications. I have also been trained in using variable data software.

Generally speaking, my interests outside of work reflect the creative process in some way. I have a keen interest in films and music, I play guitar. I record and produce music as a hobby and I also enjoy blogging, mainly in the form of album/film reviews. I have always claimed ownership to an Apple product of some sort and do very much see working on a computer as an interest and not just compulsory to my work. I also do some freelance Graphic Design which I really enjoy.
