About me

I have a keen interest in all forms of Design and enjoy visiting as many exhibitions and shows as possible. I am eager to develop the creative skills I have already developed and match new skills I would like to achieve in the future.

I have spent the last two years, since graduating with a First Class Honours 3D Design degree from Northumbria University, in full time design-focused employment. I have a wide-ranging portfolio of creative and technical skills, ranging from Adobe suite and Graphics to specialised Design software, such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks.

While studying 3D Design I discovered that I had a passion for finding creative solutions to everyday life. While achieving my First Class Degree I was trained in both CAD and practical prototyping skills. My final year projects were centred around Inclusive Design and water Conservation. These designs were exhibited during New Designers, DesignersBlock LDF and The Global Grad Show Dubai, a curation of the best graduate projects worldwide. I was also awarded a prize during the RSA Student Design Awards for my water conserving bath toy 'The Bath Boat'. I also recently won the PepsiCo Design Challenge to create a new form of renewable packaging 'DROP'. From these projects I was recognised in publications such as Forbes and Elle Décor for their unique perspectives, even being dubbed "one of the simple design concepts that show the future of the home".

During my studies I completed a variety of internships such as working at Design Junction during LDF for two consecutive years. This involved working to tight deadlines in large groups. Through this I was recommended as an exhibition assistant during the Northern Design Festival, taking initiative by setting up a customer feedback programme that is still in effect today. I also interned for the Modern Garden Furniture Company, a high-end outdoor furniture firm. I also completed an internship with MyBespokeRoom, an interior design agency where I was sourcing products for mood-boards, completing daily in-depth trend research to create an 'Our Top Picks Right Now' section and developing example mood-boards. I was also instrumental in adding their 'Our Shop' section of the website, in order to expand from interiors into individual product sales. I designed 'Shop Stories', which were categories of products to make the extensive list on offer more manageable for clients. After the success of the 'Shop Stories' I was appointed as Marketing Executive, which involved creating a brand awareness strategy with newsletters and emails to subscribers as well as engaging social media posts.

Upon graduation I pursued my interest in customer interaction combined with design. On the Design team at Bacchus Agency I created design trend features and other thought-provoking and visual ways to include my clients in influential media stories. I was entrusted in communications with key members of the press and high-end clients such as Petite Friture, Andy Martin and Artemide. I was also instrumental in important client events such as LDF closing party 2016 L'Eden with Perrier Jouët. My role also included monthly reports, sharing coverage with clients and posting regular social media for the design team. My three-month internship was extended to an eight-month job, due to my success in the role.

My time at John Lewis of Hungerford involved a variety of roles including creating interior designs on Fusion 2020 for presentations based on my measurements from surveying, client's specifications and precise budgets. These acted as contracts for our clients as well as manufacturer specifications and fitting instructions, therefore it was crucial that they were entirely accurate. The Designs were also formally presented to colleagues and clients to be signed off in meetings that continued throughout the design process. I was also the central coordinator for manufacturing, delivery and installation teams, ensuring everyone was scheduled correctly and working well as a team. It was particularly important to select the right people for each project within the agreed client budgets and ensure that everyone felt supported, meanwhile creating good relationships that I have taken onwards from work. Project timetabling was another of my key roles, ensuring that each product would be ready on time and that every member of the team was aware of the dates agreed.

I am currently employed as Head of Design at EyeSpy360, a World Leading Virtual Tour Company. This role covers a variety of design tasks from creating leaflets and client communications to exhibition stands and visualisations of floor plans on 3Ds Max. In my first few weeks I rebuilt the company brand by producing a re-marketing campaign that has seen the company grow substantially. I have played a large role in developing both the company website and the intricate Virtual Tour software, making them more user friendly and adapting a professional yet approachable aesthetic.
