About me

My name is Clara Lehr, I am deeply passionate about the film industry and currently finishing my second Master's degree in business and marketing in the UK (despite being a French citizen). Next to my studies, I have gathered more than 3 years of experience in the film industry, having worked for both film distributors and film festivals.

I worked for two years for a major French short film festival (the European Film Festival of Lille). Being part of the Selection Committee, I was responsible for the content and the final selection of the festival and was therefore in direct relationship with production companies and filmmakers. My job also consisted in organising their stay at the festival, whether it was transportation, accommodation or Q&A sessions, and to manage submissions. I then took a gap year to work full-time, as an intern, in film distribution in Paris. Working for film studios (Warner & Paramount) has given me a global overview of the film industry, its major actors and its challenges. I have been working with agencies, exhibitors, journalists, influencers and audiences and had the opportunity to have a lot of responsibilities within the projects and the teams. Whenever I got the chance, I also volunteered for film festivals (Fantasia Film Festival in Montreal & Glasgow Film Festival) to expand my network and see new aspects of the field.
