About me

I am a highly experienced creative designer, used to working in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines. I believe my passion, creative design skills and background working for large companies with strong, recognisable brand identities such as Sage, Argos,Homebase, TUI, DHL, Royal Mail, Asda and B&Q, makes me a great asset to any creative team.

I am passionate about design, with a love of interiors, colour and all things print (and the smell of a good quality paper!). I love creative problem solving, and being part of a large creative team all working towards bringing a brand to life. I take inspiration from fellow designers and artists, by visiting exhibitions and design events, looking at trends in retail and online through platforms such as Pinterest and absorbing the typography, colours and imagery that surround us in every day life. In my own time I enjoy exploring print
techniques and have taken part in Risograph and Screen Printing workshops, with Lino and Letterpress printing next on my list.

My key focus as a designer is to exceed expectations and create memorable design solutions to my client briefs that make a difference and positively influence. I enjoy collaborating with clients and other creatives to deliver successful designs that increase brand awareness, engagement, web/social media traffic, and response rates.

In my current role as Lead Designer for Acctim I am responsible for forecasting and developing interior trends and colour palettes, attending and creating collateral for trade fairs, developing packaging and implementing brand guidelines across the main brand and 3 sub-brands, organsing the photo-studio, taking product photography, and updating our lifestyle imagery. I am currently in the process of updating our lifestyle imagery for our main customers (inc. Next/John Lewis/Habitat). Other duties inlvolve liaising with factories & key
stake holders, and presenting concepts and projects to senior management.

In my previoous role at Away Resorts I was responsible for managing a small team of in-house designers plus freelancers and agency support, producing all the company marketing collateral plus all design requirements both digital and print for 27 holiday parks and 1 luxury hotel. The role also involved setting annual brand objectives alongside the Head of Brand, identifying opportunities for efficiencies and brand differentiation to help craft the visual identity, being the 'brand guardian' and keeping all brand creative exciting, compelling and consistent, working closely with key stakeholders centrally and on our parks to meet a variety of creative briefs. Day-to-day responsibilities include generating ideas and developing and bringing to life key campaign assets through integrated creative content across multiple platforms, including print and digital design, maintaining and updating existing POS collateral, creating and designing advertising material across multiple platforms including web banners, social posts, direct marketing campaigns and park material, and working with external suppliers such as photographers and ensuring their work is on brief.
