About me

I am an experienced writer and editorial assistant working across print and online titles.

My work has been featured in K-Zone magazine, RUSSH magazine, Girlfriend magazine, BBC Easy Cook magazine, Kraze Club magazine, Thescene.com.au, Shoptilyoudrop.com.au, Justmakeupartists.com and Housetohome.co.uk.

During my time at K-Zone (Australia's #1 tween magazine) I was responsible for the conception, research and writing of K-Zone's feature articles, regular sections and online components. I also conducted phone, email and face-to-face interviews with celebrities, sport stars and readers. I have extensive experience with picture research and image sourcing from in-house systems and various organisations and PR agencies. I have lots of experience creating, shaping and styling copy. This multi-faceted role has enabled me to prioritise tasks and meet strict deadlines whilst keeping a cool head.

As a brand extension to K-Zone magazine, I also co-authored K-Zone Prank Patrol, which is published nationally by Scholastic Australia and was the fourth highest selling children's book in the lead up to Christmas in 2010.

I am also passionate about writing for the web and social networking. Working at Housetohome.co.uk has increased my passion for writing online (I recently compiled all of their Christmas gift guides). I have lots of experience using CMS2 to upload news stories, features and galleries. I have a strong understanding of SEO best practice and resizing images for the web.
