About me
Graphic design is all around us billboards to book covers, it is everything we see and do. This is why I am so passionate about the design industry because I am a part of it. Ever since studying design at school I have known it is what I want to do I want to make a difference to our environment.
On a previous work experience placement I created posters and bookmarks for films including mumma mia and The Love Guru, I was able to use my graphic skills in the real creative industry that is why this job appeals to me I want to be able to use my skills, experience and knowledge and bring it to your company and hopefully learn a lot along the way.
Previously I have been very keen to gain valuable work experience placements in the creative industry. Firstly I worked for Now Magazine there I was introduced to InDesign where I helped with the construction of page layouts. I was also lucky enough to gain a two month placement at a graphic design company working on a number of different films here was where I was learned Dreamweaver as I updated their website.
The mass of my knowledge comes from studying graphic design at A-Level and Foundation Diploma studies where I learned more in depth background to the subject but more importantly got taught the creative suit, Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop. Throughout my studies I had to work independently and as part of a team, so have gained good communication skills.
I would open the opportunity to broaden my knowledge and experience and I think a company like yours could do this. My varied interests and experiences have helped me to understand what I want to achieve in life, but also enabled me to listen to other people and to learn. I am looking forward to building on my existing knowledge and understanding of graphic design, with a view to building my future career.
