The UK emergency repair market is worth an estimated £5.7 billion p.a. Yet, despite many recent developments, the current market is broken. When we have a property emergency or requirement for an instant fix in our home or workplace, we often have to rely on unqualified and unreliable tradespeople, who are either unavailable or busy working on someone else's property problem. And when we do find someone, they could be miles away and unable to get to us quickly.
In order to address these issues, Fixxa® was created to harness digital technology that enables the on-demand or emergency booking of qualified and vetted Plumbers, Heating Engineers (Gas), Electricians, Handymen, Drainage Engineers and Locksmiths.
Fixxa® are liberators for both home owners and tradespeople. They use technology to release tradespeople, property owners and occupiers from the inefficiency, uncertainty and complexity associated with property maintenance.

It was clear that in order for Fixxa to be successful, we would have to create a brand and experience that was completely aligned across every-touchpoint. Our ambition was nothing short of total 360º brand cohesion
The Fixxa® name was selected after an extensive period of exploration and testing of ‘descriptive’ options that were available and could be granted a European Trademark. Used as a noun, booking a ‘Fixxa®’ becomes a way of securing a uniquely qualified and reliable tradesperson.
Identity: The magic line
The visual identity was developed to project a premium, sophisticated and contemporary brand that will support the offer and create significant differentiation from other repair services. The logo incorporates symbols for proximity, power, access and home into a unique marque that also contains a ‘magic’ green journey line. This line is used dynamically across digital applications, communications and animations to illustrate the proximity of appropriate ‘Fixxas’ and to reinforce the idea that they are ‘on their way’.
The same colour palette that is used in the logo is used throughout illustrations and communications and is supported by varying weights of a single typeface, FS Lucas, across all touch-points.
We worked closely with the Fixxa® management and development teams to translate detailed UX and UI designs into two fully operational responsive digital platforms. These incorporate booking, billing, tracking, project management and GPS technologies into a seamless, easy to use digital service.
Launch as a consumer web-app and tradespersons app across a limited geographical range in January 2019, Fixxa’s ambition is to become nationally available within 5 years.
