About me
Dear Sir/Madam
I am a bright, creative and extremely ambitious Graduate of Media Production specialising in Graphic Design, Film, and TV production. I am a highly driven and imaginative thinker who has just finished a 3 month contract working for a design agency based in Cambridge. Whilst there I was one of 3 designers responsible for the entire creative design output for Spire Healthcare. With over 39 Hospitals nationwide and working on an average of 150 jobs per calendar month I'm more than used to having pressure applied in the studio. On top of this I worked as a main designer for a marketing firm in Chesterfield, in just over a year and a half I produced graphics for a number of small to large sized local businesses. I now wish to further my design career and after reviewing your criteria and details of the role I have much pleasure applying for you. I'm greatly excited about the possibility of working within an inventive and fueled design orientated studio and to work with other creatives like myself. I currently reside in Ely, Cambridgeshire. However I am in a position to move immediately and would be thoroughly excited with the chance to relocate.
As one would imagine I have a efficient and ever expanding knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign) as I use them daily and have no problem going between all programmes. I pride myself on having a innovative flair for all things typography, colour and composition and will always look out for inspiring and creative artworks to get my creative juices flowing. To keep an edge on my competitors I always go out my way to boost my knowledge of current trends in fashion, branding and design, always keeping myself ahead and fresh. I have also accumulated many skills using various programmes such as After Effects, Acrobat, video editing software's such as Avid, Final Cut Pro and Adobe Première. I also harbour excellent reading and writing skills. I always do my best to maintain excellent communication and keep ideas flowing with both internal and external clients. As stated earlier I previously designed for a Hospital group with 39 Hospitals so obviously I had to regularly keep contact with clients and I was often on call to take on projects on demand when needed so I've grown accustom to working under pressure and keeping to tight deadlines so I have great experience with time management and prioritizing work loads. Over the years I have designed brochures, calendars, newsletters, magazine layouts and adverts, business cards, company logos, social media graphics, infographics, leaflets, banners, website graphics, email banners and everything in between.
