About me
After finishing my Bachelor of Art and Design degree at Auckland's Media Design School in 2018 I immediately hopped onto the next plane to the United Kingdom, both to search for work and to experience first hand some of the many different cultures Europe have to offer. After the classic London, Paris and Amsterdam trips I found myself hiking the Camino De Santiago, a 500 mile (800km) pilgrimage stretching East to West in northern Spain. It was during these 33 days of foot torture that I landed my first role as a 3D animator at Adelaide's Millfilm for the movie Cats in May 2019.
Working for a large studio like Millfilm was a fantastic experience to kick off my career. It was a great opportunity to get an understanding of a large professional pipeline as well as experiencing the lifestyle of a VFX artist and the atmosphere of the studio. Not only that but the many talented artists at Millfilm were more than happy to take a few minutes from their busy schedule to share their collective wealth of animation knowledge.
Sadly however, like so many talented artists around the globe Covid-19 has left me without employment. Fortunately for me, now is a fantastic opportunity to practice my animation skills with personal projects and exercises as well as stimulating my creative juices by other means, such as carpentry and screen writing.
