About me
I am a confident and well-spoken, self-taught Graphic Designer and
Copywriter who has been in the industry both full time and freelance
for over a decade.
I started designing posters for amateur theatre (my natural style is
a multilayered photographic approach, similar to that of Dave McKean)
and progressed to working in small lithoprint and design studios. As
such, I am expert with Photoshop, Freehand, Pagemaker, InDesign and
Quark.
The majority of work that I now do is in web design, setting up,
styling and maintaining content management systems. As such, I have an
excellent knowledge of Dreamweaver, Photoshop and Fireworks, CSS, HTML,
XHTML, XML and a reasonable knowledge of Flash.
I also write a great deal of copy for various clients, in industries
ranging through new media to traditional tailoring. My copywriting
skills have been honed over the last five and a half years through
writing a blog which is consistently rated in the top ten UK political
blogs.
Although I would love to design more book and CD covers (those
things that tend to fit my natural style of art), I would dearly love
to move further into the area of copywriting and editing.
