Hello,

A friend emailed me your advert. I am looking for my next step up the design ladder as a senior creative designer, but when I read your job description, the only thing missing from is my lack of experience managing a team of designers.

I thought I would offer my CV for your interest as I am looking for a new challenge. I don't blame you if you request my application, I thought its worth a shot!

Personally, I have been working in the design sector for over eight years as an agency, in-house and freelance creative designer.

I have managed marketing office staff previously, though, officially that is not part of my current role, I have taken it upon myself to fill-in where my line manager lacks. I am happy to guide junior staff working on projects and to get stuck in generating ideas and to organise larger campaigns.

I am confident meeting clients and am happy to work on the client facing side of the business as well as getting stuck into creative projects, working through to the final product on various projects at once.

I am strong mac operator using the Abode Creative Suite (CS5) and I also have some coding skills as a front end web developer.

Skills

My main skill is my creative problem solving ability, followed by my technical skills., I use Adobe's Creative Suite to create graphic artwork for the design based problems I am challenged with., I have been using the software for over 15 years and have worked as a design professional for near ten years., I have won three awards to date and look forward to the opportunity to pick up more in the future.

Sector Experience

I have worked across print and web design, thought I am first a print designer, then a web designer, or as some people like to call it a front-end developer. I can code HTML, CSS and a little Javascript, but I am no developer., I have created work in all sectors, such as identity development, brand guidelines, corporate literature, advertising, point-of-sale materials, creative advertising, TV advertising, script writing, website development, corporate stationery and web advertising., I am also a decent photographer and copywriter.
