About me

I work as a mixed fibre artist and knitwear tutor and designer working with yarn whose provenance I know. I have now had 10 books published. Wire Jewellery which includes knitting and crocheting.
Felt Style was my 2nd book and includes designs to knit n felt and also laid fibre felt. Book 3 is Quick Crochet which speaks for itself. 4 further knitting books followed and 2 more felting books.

I am currently working on a new book on Double Knitting and more felting patterns /templates. I have designed for companies as far a field as Australia and also private commissions abroad, taught in Europe and Scandinavia

My inspiration is always nature based or inspired by my travels and new architecture. I cannot imagine a life without fibre.

I live in the North Pennines and have my gallery within The Silver Gallery Sedbergh.
I have started using differing techniques and fabrics together to prepare exhibition installations which will use digital enhancements as an alternative way of engaging with the process.
