D3O, the global leader in impact protection, approached Seven46 to produce its brand new thought leadership publication, Impact Magazine, which aims to provide an insight into the past, present and future of shock absorption technology with a variety of content.
This issue was designed for the EICMA: Motorcycle Show Milan. With D3O signing a new sponsorship deal with Michael Dunlop, TT racer I directed a photoshoot with Michael and the D3O team not just for the magazine, but for materials across their website and social channels as well as for their partner, Furygan. These photos were used across multiple articles and issues to create the longest use out of them. To make this as effective as possible we carried out a series of different shoots to make sure that we had a variety of images for different purposes.
With the main magazine being printed on a heavy silk stock, the centre eight page section of Impact which addresses the main theme each issue, is illustrated in a stylised way with its own internal cover on a recycled, uncoated stock to make it stand out from the rest of the magazine.
