About me

I am a highly enthusiastic and approachable individual, with strong

communication skills and a very keen interest in the Visual Arts. I can

work reliably as an individual, and also as part of a team. I have

acquired numerous new skills over the past few years, including camera

work (Still and motion camera work) ,digital image manipulation/Adobe

Photoshop, Animation (motion and capture), Studio lighting and Green

Screen/Chroma Keying,for example. I also have experience of working at

a higher education establishment, where I not only provided technical

support and advice, but also teaching support to students of various

levels; from GCSE students to AS and A-Level students. I aided them in

the editing of magazine covers and articles, advertising campaigns,

DVD covers,theproduction of short radio productions/jingles and assisted

in the editing process of their video projects, utilising iMovie and

Final CutPro. I also have experience in editing my own short productions,

utilising Adobe Premiere Pro. I have also had a number of significant

achievements, most notably in having some of my work exhibited at the

2007 Cannes Film Festival and the 2007 Edinburgh Film Festival, in

addition to attaining my full City&Guilds Diploma. Some examples of

Until my career change, I worked extensively in the retail industry in various roles, beginning as asales assistant and gradually working my way up to assistant manager

and shop manager. I gained many transferable skills from my time in theretail industry, such as learning to function in a team environment,dealing with the general public and time management.
