About me
After receiving my Bachelor's of Science in Psychology, I focused my graduate studies within the Applied Cognitive Psychology program, and was an active member of Dr Camille Peres' Human Computer Interaction (HCI) research laboratory on the University of Houston - Clear Lake (UHCL) campus. There I was extensively involved as a user researcher in multiple research projects involving: recruiting of subjects, creating user personas/profiles, creating testing protocols, survey construction, wireframe design and construction, usability testing data collection, usability testing data analysis, and presenting departmental reports to stakeholders. Additionally, numerous Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES) conferences, industry professional panels, and speaker symposiums have provided me with a rich exposure to current/future research projects, peer-reviewed publications, working professionals, and continuous access to the latest design/research tools.
I have 3+ years conducting usability research on web-based applications, 2+ years of experience working in designing and launching consumer facing websites, 1 year working with HTML and CSS, 2 years working with Axure, 4 years working with Adobe CS4 (Creative Cloud), and 10+ years of advanced MS Office Suite. I am confident in my ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks, in my knowledge of web user interface design best practices and logic as applied to web applications, and in my knowledge of Human Computer Interaction concepts as it applies to the user experience.
