About me

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to apply for the role of Designer.

I gained my industry experience in Graphic Design by co founding Sammakko Design Consultancy in 2003 after completing a HND in Multimedia at Brighton University. We worked for a wide range of clientele which meant that I produced work in many different styles and mediums ranging from branding to animated websites. My aim as a designer has always been to utilise my graphic knowledge to create the appropriate visual language to speak to the target audience, rather than just applying a standard style to each project.

Working in a small company I learnt how to be adaptable in every situation. I developed excellent organisational and time management skills in order to manage and produce various projects simultaneously. As I dealt with both clients and staff on a daily basis I learnt how to communicate clearly and effectively and would consider myself a cool headed and friendly person with a good sense of humour.

I decided to sell the company to the two other directors in order to study for an MA in Digital Art at Camberwell College of Art. I then went travelling to the Philippines to immerse myself in a different culture and view the world from an alternative perspective. This really gave me a positive outlook on my future and has convinced me that I want to pursue my career in Graphic Design.
