Am I utterly brilliant
However anything I have ever done in my past I have always done with the intention of being the best and am naturally extremely capable in anything I do, job wise this includes jobs I do not consider career choices so in a position I wish to flourish and go places in I can only imagine how hard and successful I will be, until I am tested and provided and opportunity.
I finished University in July 2011 and since then I have been keen to utilize my BA (Hons) Marketing degree but had not found the right career for myself, therefore have not rushed into any old job opening. Until Christmas 2012 I have highlighted working within the advertising agency world as the career for me.
This leads me to the whole point of this letter (I know most creatives like to get to the point quickly and I realise uncovering the subject of this letter in the third paragraph is unorthodox to say the least). I am eager to continue learning and gain a foothold and begin my career within the advertising and communications world.
I envisage a profession of being a copywriter, however, I have also enjoyed my experience of being an account executive and feel the knowledge and skills of both roles combined makes me a strong candidate. I love adverts, it's something I have always been very interested in and nothing make me smile more than a well thought out and appropriate advert, regardless of if I'm interested in the product/service.
I am a hard-working, out-going determined individual (Don't take just my word for it, I can provide referees if required). In my earlier years working as a bartender I learnt the importance of customer service and engaging with customers and their needs. This has progressed further in my current job as a sheet metal worker where I have continual meetings with customers to understand and comply with the exact requirements they desire.
I won't sit back during discussions and conversations and am opinionated enough to put forward a view; however I am always keen to hear feedback, good and bad, as I feel that is an important part of learning and improving.
I have learnt skills such as attention to detail, when we are talking about millimetres in sheet metal the attention to detail is magnified. I am no stranger to long hours and hard work regularly experiencing 70 hour weeks, in a row, in a kitchen, in the middle of summer!
