About me

Dear Sir/Madame,

I am writing to you to be considered for the Freelance Video Producer role after carefully reading the job requirements I instantly recognised my skills and abilities.

Recently I graduated with a 2.1 degree in Film and Television Production from Edge Hill University. During this time I worked on a number of high quality video productions of different genres in teams and as an individual head of productions. This included all pre-production, crucial on set roles and mastering the professional editing systems Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere Pro with other major Adobe sound editing and special effects programs. I have major experience in a studio and live environment having undertaken many of the roles and responsibilities while producing many different programs for television, including; Camera/Sound Operator, Floor Manager and Production Assistant. My experience with equipment covers a wide range of professional cameras including Canon DSLR to studio type set ups, and all internal and external sound recording devices and microphones, I have also studied and have experience professional lighting set ups.

Outside of university I have proven my knowledge and skills without Edge Hill's safety net by being one of a few students to be trusted with freelance projects from important clients; The Royal Liverpool Hospital and Knowsley Carers Centre. The two clients gave me completely different briefs which meant that I had to multi task and take charge of all the roles on set while directing the talent and that both interior and exterior shoots went as smoothly as possible and met the clients brief exactly.
