About me
Ciao! I'm an Italian illustrator based in Amsterdam. I mostly work on editorial, publishing, and institutional projects, often around science, health, technology, and the environment.
Over the years, I've had the chance to work with clients such as National Geographic, Scientific American, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, BBC Science Focus, and many more. I love projects that start with a difficult question or a complicated subject and end with an image that helps people understand it in a new way.
Outside of client work, I'm passionate about building community within illustration. In 2018, I co-founded Sail Ho Studio, and more recently, I've been co-running ILLUMINATE, a community that supports illustrators through events, professional development, and visibility. I also mentor emerging illustrators, run workshops, and give university lectures whenever I can.
My work has been recognized by The Society of Illustrators (NY and LA), Communication Arts, The Association of Illustrators, Autori di Immagini and American Illustration.
I live in Amsterdam but don't bike, and though I'm Italian, I happily drink cappuccino after 11 am
