About me

In 1995, first grade teacher, Mrs Jenny Brunt, awarded Chesney with the marvellous writing prize. And just like that, a lifelong penchant for storytelling was born.

23 years later, Chesney is still telling stories - but this time she's writing for brands, both local and international alike. Working across all platforms including traditional media, as well as digital, Chesney has been lucky enough to spend six years in the company of some of Australia's most talented creatives at BD Network Melbourne, and then McCann. In the process, she has created some things that she's, of course, immensely proud of.

Chesney's work has been recognised for both creativity and effectiveness, and in 2015, she was given the remarkable opportunity to tutor eight students as part of the annual ADMA Creative School. This proved to be a valuable lesson for both pupils and tutor, and as part of this, Chesney gained crucial experience in teaching and empowering young creatives.

With an absurd (but unobtrusive) obsession with grammar, and a passion for melodious copywriting, Chesney is a true believer in making people's lives just a tiny bit happier, funnier, or more interesting through advertising. Outside of work, she's an almost-obsessive fan of David Attenborough documentaries, an all too ambitious baker, and a drawer of ridiculous doodles.
