Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to apply for the writing position, which you have recently advertised on your Careers page.

In October 2014, I graduated with a First Class degree in English Literature from the University of Greenwich. For six months, I worked as a full-time Creative Copywriter for the company Holiday Extras, before fulfilling a small dream of mine to travel across Europe by train with a group of my university friends. I have since been working on my own creative writing projects. I am now seeking a new challenge within the writing industry.

Along with my CV, I have included several examples of my written work. These include pieces of my travel copy from my time at Holiday Extras, as well as links to two online posts I wrote as a guest contributor for the film website, Moviepilot.

I know at present I may have little to offer in terms of experience, but what I lack in this area, I make up for in my passion for writing. I am a young, enthusiastic and creative individual, and would love to be considered for the position.
