About me
I have recently completed a BA Hons English Literature degree with a predicted 2:1 classification. I am now seeking a position within the Editorial sector. I believe I have the necessary experience and qualifications gained through my studies to succeed in my desired field; I have strong writing and editing skills, a keen eye for detail, and am able to work to tight deadlines efficiently.
I undertook two journalism modules which included writing news reports and features, creating and updating a blog, and interviewing individuals to produce an interesting article. For these modules, I gained a First and a high 2:1 classification.
Whilst studying for my degree, I spent six months gaining experience at a PR and events company. In this role, I assisted at their annual press event, which I helped to promote and organise. I also regularly updated our client's social media channels, and proof-read press releases and various other copies for colleagues.
I am currently working as a Sales Associate at the popular retailer, TK Maxx. I have held this position for over three years, and it has given me valuable customer-facing skills. The role also requires me to work under pressure, have good time management skills, and to work within a team as well as individually.
I am very much looking forward to beginning my post-graduate career and seeing what exciting opportunities are available to me.
