About me

Dear Sir/Madam,

I have been work in two separate shops for the same long established company selling antique objects and jewellery for the past two years. One specialized in antique curios and vintage; the other high end antique silverware objects and jewellery (Reginald Davis, Oxford).

In the Oxford Gallery I wrote all the product descriptions and produced all Facebook and Instagram posts. I enjoy writing copy and am looking to progress in this field, as whilst I like sales, my passion lies with the use of English language. I was able to use Wordpress to optimize our search engines, and ensured all keywords were carefully listed for each product. Expanding my knowledge over 2+ years working in the Gallery has given me a firm starting base for progressing in this area.

When not uploading directly to the site, I would spend a large proportion of my day cataloguing items for our records and updating our social media which kept me connected to current market trends and ways to promote sales and best display stock. You can find examples of my research and updates on , I am capable of describing styles succinctly and accurately. I also maintained the Oxford Gallery Instagram, taking all photos and creating interest in our company.

Through the world of retail have developed a strong presence in sales and face to face customer service, I am often complimented on both my manner and presentation. I think this would be a further opportunity to expand my confidence and penchant for this aspect of the industry. Selling is also my forte I opt to take a subtle, educated approach to promoting our stock and through this have been able to establish myself a firm repeat client base.
