About me
I am a friendly and ambitious person, with a huge passion for design. Having graduated with a BA (hons) in Graphic Design from University of Lincoln in 2008, I worked for Haley Sharpe Design in Leicester as a Graphic Designer, working on a variety of museum, heritage and exhibition projects. This involved me in designing graphic panels, literature, collateral material and brand identity. Unfortunately due to the recession I was made redundant and I then joined the Nottingham Post where the work required me to meet tight deadlines with accurate and detailed work. I designed flash internet banners for all the groups Northern, East Midlands and South East newspaper websites along with print adverts for the associated magazines such as Nottinghamshire Today and Leicestershire Life.
I have just been made redundant from Mynt Design in Leicestershire where I have worked on a wide variety of projects from initial concepts to the final artwork. Projects include working on school prospectus, retail graphics, packaging, websites, literature and branding. I was in charge of redesigning the website for Mynt along with that of a major client. Clients included Gola, Lee Cooper, OPRO, Adidas and Wrangler.
I have advanced knowledge with Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, QuarkXpress and Flash along with a basic knowledge of Dreamweaver, HTML and CSS which I am very willing to develop further. I am also PC and Mac literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
I have an aptitude for producing strong ideas, being able to develop them further and then executing the strongest to produce outstanding outcomes with great presentation. I am hard working, self motivated with good communication skills. I'm able to use my own initiative and I am a great team player. When working I pay close attention to detail and have brilliant organisational and time management skills. My previous employment has enabled me to prioritise, meet tight deadlines and keep calm under pressure.
