About me
I am based in Brighton UK and recently graduated the MAET (Medical Artists Education Trust) Postgraduate certificate in Medical Illustration, alongside working as a research scientist. My science background has given me a deep understanding of the anatomy and the natural world, as well as a sharp eye for detail. Throughout my career as a scientist I held a strong creative passion, I drew every day and produced artworks for many local art exhibitions. When I discovered the MAET post graduate study program, I felt I had found my perfect niche. I could combine my two passions, science and illustration, which is reflected in the style and content of my work. Since graduating I have started out as a freelancer, creating surgical guides, journals covers and conceptual artworks. I have worked with researchers at multiple universities, the Bhopal medical Appeal and Journal of the American Academy of Allergy. I am now keen to branch out into design, product and editorial illustration.
