Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to apply for the role of Photo Editor. I am confident I have the necessary experience and enthusiasm to succeed in the role.

As you can see from my CV, I currently work full time as a Production Controller for a reprographics company, working within the studio to ensure that every image amend is carried out and monitor the colour corrections of each page. Also I am an occasional Freelance Photographer and am skilled at retouching out flaws, correcting colour and cropping my photos to a better composition. From this I am looking to transfer my skills and take my career in a new direction- I think I would make a suitable candidate for the Photo Editor position.

Working with Colorlux, an international company, has helped me develop a flexiblility in the workplace. In the time I have worked there I have been responsible for Vogue, Traveller, Argos and Philips de Pury- and as such know the high quality work that is expected as a standard. I have worked from headquarters in Italy and Thailand, leading on projects and managing artworkers. In addition, I have developed excellent organisational skills, dealing with a varying workload and ensuring that deadlines are met - this often involves evening and weekend work.

I work successfully as part of a team, but have also produced great results relying on my own initiative. Previous employers will attest to my attention to detail, sensitivity and friendly manner.
