About me

In my recent position as a Sales Assistant, I have gained considerable experience in customer service. I approached the role with patience and adaptability, recognising that every customer needs to be treated with the same level of professionalism and care. Amongst staff and customers alike, I believe it is important to maintain an enthusiastic, positive attitude and a sense of humour even in the most stressful of situations. I have provided flexibility in working irregular hours and have endeavoured to treat customers with respect and efficiency both when dealing with situations on a face to face basis and over the phone.

Prior to graduating with a 2.1, I previously worked for the University as a Peer Assisted Learning Leader; a role that required me to be responsible for creating and managing seminar plans for support classes but also included me in a great deal of interaction work with new students, faculty members and parents. One of the most important aspects of the job was to be flexible and available to assist first year students with any questions or concerns they might have. I was required to give educational and emotional support in relation to both the course and their future career prospects; a feat that I believe would benefit me when working in a pressurised environment. I believe the role increased my resilience towards both my own work and outlook, as I needed to prioritise and organise work around others. I pride myself on being a hard working individual who is eager to help others, and I often found myself staying late after my paid hours; making myself available whenever I could to aid students. During both my time as a Peer Leader and as a retail Sales Assistant, I have prided myself on the ability to remain approachable and friendly and intend to carry these same values across to the workplace.

During my college years and periodically to date I have worked freelance for a local author on illustrations for educational books. I am well adapted to working to briefs, and believe that I have a good insight of how to interpret client work. In the past, where the brief may have been vague or lacking in detail, I have contacted the author to clarify my understanding ensuring that our two visions of the creative process are aligned; maintaining that communication is vital to the work environment. In addition to this, I have worked on a number of creative group projects to develop my focus and team working abilities. Though most recently acting as a preproduction and texture artist for the animated short 'The Escape' which was presented at MPC London, I have also collaborated with well-known international musicians and cabaret performers over the past year. I am a flexible, hard-working individual with experience working with professional clients in both stylized and realistic texturing styles. I am eager to develop new skills and to take on any challenge offered in hope to better my knowledge of the Visual Effects Industry.
