About me

I am currently working at Elemis Beauty Brand as a Marketing Assistant. It has a structure where my daily tasks are anything from liaising with the marketing directors and department stores about new promotions and product launches to updating the marketing calendar and working on large events. My role involves a lot of administration work, strong communication skills, an eye for detail and excellent organisation skills. Good relationships are essential as the role is largely based on communication and team-work.

I have also worked at Selfridges as a Beauty Marketing where I assisted in the organization of the half million pound Christmas Advertising Campaign, this involved organizing the 35 brands involved, brands such as: Christian Dior, Jo Malone, Aveda and Origins. I helped sell the campaign to the brands, assist at the photo-shoot where I worked alongside photographer Michael Shave, I arranged marketing support and liaised continuously with the brands marketing team. I also helped to organize a number of Personal Appearances and events including Elizabeth Hurley and Kelly Brooke.

I graduated from Oxford Brookes in May with a Second Class Honors degree BA Hons in Media, Culture and Communication. Whilst most of my course wrote only their dissertations, I created a Marketing Organization Proposal on Nine West Shoe Company, which allowed me to explore the ins and outs of marketing within a successful business. I liaised with the Nine West offices in the United Kingdom and USA and also had contact with other shoe companies such as Kurt Geiger and L.K Bennett to strengthen my research project. Particular highlights of this were the improvement of my organization skills and knowledge of MS Office Suite.

During university, I had experience as an intern at Mosaic Fashion as a Marketing Assistant in Hong Kong, where my enthusiasm for marketing was heightened, I learnt about the different brands under the company's umbrella and the varied demographics that are unique to each one.

I have experienced varied roles in Marketing, I understand the importance of creativity in a business and maintaining and building strong relationships.I would now like to pursue a career in the creative sector.
