About me

One of my great passions in life is writing. I have written scripts for radio, television, theatre, film and animation, as well as writing several short-stories and other pieces of prose literature. I enjoy writing critiques of the media and have a blog dedicated to the criticism of television, advertising and film, as well as a somewhat more niche blog following a particular video-game in a comic and ironic tone. My experience to date is helping me to become a more versatile and accomplished writer in many tones and mediums.

In addition to writing, I am an inventive cartoonist and have a large back-catalogue of work that is available on request. I also have experience as a stand-up comic, and was a radio presenter with a weekly two hour show for two years, which I really enjoyed, and would like to do more of, given the chance. I have demonstrated my leadership ability and pro-activity several times over, through founding several societies whilst at university (that survive today), working in local radio (for which I received some awards), volunteering with an Oxfam bookshop and acting as a team leader at a language school. I have worked as a freelance music journalist for an upcoming online magazine in London, after acting as music editor during its early stages. I play football regularly, but have yet to master the use of my left foot.

Ultimately, my loves are literature, comedy and art. This enthusiasm was what prompted me to apply to Central, where I aimed to develop my writing talents at one of the UK's leading institutions for teaching & creating drama. I believe that my experiences and achievements show me to be amiable, articulate, outgoing, pro-active and reliable, as well as someone who has always worked hard at jobs and tasks undertaken.
