About me

As a designer I see myself as a problem-solver with the aim of providing thoughtful solutions. Instead of confronting a problem head-on, I prefer to look at it from as many different angles as I can. Through this analytical process I begin to break down the situation. I do this through research, investigation, exploration, observation, analysis, and examination of my findings. I build up a knowledge and understanding of the circumstances and the surrounding issues, this enables me to gain an insight into the situation.

I see design as a way of improvement. My aim is to always find the best solution and improve on every aspect of the situation. This means I take into account what is required by the user, but also other equally important factors such as environmental, social, and economic issues.

Sustainability is also important in my work. Using sustainability as a stimulus for my work makes me search for new and different solutions. The issue of sustainability is increasingly becoming more crucial as resources are diminishing, so I feel it is essential to do everything I can to reduce the impact that we have.

My work mainly focuses on Architectural Interventions. As a Spatial Designer I see my role as a creator of small and sympathetic interventions. I am interested in work that enhances and enriches people's lives. Within my work I focus on offering up resolutions that respond to a given site and situation, with an emphasis on meaning and fuction.
