About me

From a young age I have always had a profound affinity towards making artwork. I'm a visual
artist with an eye for all things eccentric and peculiar.
I spend most of my free time working on my artwork, painting. Sometimes I simultaneously
watch films or listen to music. I also really love the peace and silence being in the moment
and enjoying the special relationship between artist and canvas. It's like therapy to me, when
I can find that solitary time to just unwind and immerse myself in what I love to do most.
I find nothing more mentally invigorating than feeling that rush of excitement when executing
a new idea.

One of my strengths as an artist is that I conceptualise straight from imagination and I
always strive to create imagery that is completely unique. I primarily use oil painting as my
main medium. Although I am a traditional painter the aesthetic of my work is illustrative and
caricaturesque. Often when I create artwork I always return to the influences I experienced as a young person. I think creatively I am in tune with things that sparked fascination, got my imagination going and had a long standing effect on me.

Currently I am looking to expand and diversify my practice as an artist.
My ambition is to explore and learn and work in a contemporary digital practice. I aspire to utilise and apply my skills as a painter to contemporary practices. As well as develop new, practical and technical skills in animation and gain in-depth knowledge and understanding within this field.
