About me

Hello Sir/Madam,

I am writing to you to apply for this role since I believe I would be an excellent candidate for this position. I have previous experience within the Graphic and Web Design industry from when I worked for a printing company back in September 2014, which focused on retail advertisements created in the Adobe Creative Suite.

Furthermore, I have a strong and well balanced portfolio showcasing jobs I've undertaken. Examples are; in-house documents and artwork using correct print processes, HTML/CSS websites and emailers, TV advertisements, Hotel UI/UX Sensiq Systems, Graphic User Interface design, branding/brand guidelines plus additional freelance content and university projects.

One project in particular, expanded my skill set, through the creation of our online turn based strategy game 'Acquisition.' A combined team effort led to our success in winning the Rockstar Games' Best Team Award 2015 and Team 17's Best Technology Award 2015. These awards encouraged us to apply for the UK's biggest games competition, BAFTA Dare To Be Digital 2015. After a thorough international selection process, which involved sifting through approximately 10,000 team entries, our team was chosen to be one of the final 16 contestants, ready to showcase our game to the BBC, Channel 4, The Gadget Show, Develop Magazine and numerous radio shows.

Additionally, I have experience in a retail role where strong content layout, typesetting and typography skills were essential. Plus, my university dissertation was highly based around professional graphical practices and how they can be implemented into a wide variety of areas.
