As my CV suggests, I possess a plethora of relevant skills. During my time as a law undergraduate I participated in moots which aided the development of my communication skills. A further critical skill is assimilating the information as presented by outside agencies and responding appropriately. This would prove to be advantageous when liaising with various third parties.

I am familiar with the issues pertinent to trademarks and design and the required daily processes. I understand the trademark registration process, from filing to grant stage. There may at times be a requirement to amend existing trademarks and deal with invoice discrepancies. On occasions, there is the necessity to attend embassies to collect cases.

My various temporary positions to support my studies have incorporated all administrative duties. I am able to sort daily workloads and distribute them to the relevant departments. My excellent data entry and management skills will allow me to update In House trademarks systems. My time at Citigroup gave me an insight into internal and external licensing. Other occasional tasks include renewals, opposition and cancellation.

My organisational skills obtained through study and practical experience allows me to prioritise my workload. I possess a thorough and meticulous approach, which is imperative with the nature of this role. I am at ease whether working independently or as part of a team.

In addition, I possess a broad awareness of intellectual property such as that of electronic publishing. My decision to research this particular area stems from my personal passion for music and song writing. I therefore possess a genuine interest for the protection of creative/ authorship rights.

I consider myself to be at intermediate level when using the MS Office suite. I can therefore type correspondence including reporting letters. Filing is a key component to the administration side of the role - whether this is filing applications to the patent offices or charge filing. My IP postgraduate research has equipped me with the knowledge of the legal requirements of such roles.
