Hello...
...I'm Darren and I'm a recruiter... there, I said it.
Since 2006, I've been working as an independent recruiter across the digital and creative industries.
Admitting you're a recruitment consultant can be a little awkward *insert desired insult here* but I've (just about) learnt to live with it. Over the years I've been able to help some awesome creatives make real progress in their careers and in turn, I've helped some cracking businesses find the talent they’ve needed to get to the next level. So, joking aside, I really enjoy what I do and I think I'm pretty good at it too.
I'm based in Leeds (UK) and I work with people all over the world. Designers, developers, UX/UI specialists, art directors, copywriters, project managers, info architects, artworkers and production staff from board level directors to entry level juniors. And whilst I can't promise to help find a role for everyone I speak to, I do promise to offer constructive advice when and where I can.
Outside of the day job I'm still a jobbing designer working directly with a handful of my own clients and on small personal side projects. I'm lucky enough to have an amazing wife and daughter to keep me busy at home and if there's any downtime remaining I'm most likely filling it with football, motorbikes, DIY (fixing up our knackered old house) or the occasional beer... or six.
