About me
Over the last two years I have been working as a Junior Designer for a publishing house in London. My main responsibility has been print design for a range of clients which includes Lombok and 'The Essential Party Guide'. Amongst other things (such as managing the print process, presenting concepts to clients and making the odd cuppa), I have also managed and designed projects from inception through to implementation for a variety of marketing materials. These included designing a series of brochures, advertisements and front covers for publications. As my role evolved, I was fortunate enough to gain invaluable experience within the design arena, enabling me to utilise my creative flair and skillful design, which in turn has provided me with an excellent understanding of how design fits into commercial requirements.
In addition to this, I have expanded my portfolio and experience outside of publishing by working on various freelance, and self initiated projects. I'm excellent at using Quark Xpress, Illustrator, PhotoShop and a bit of Flash and Dreamweaver too, which is ideal for these types of roles.
