About me
I'm a self-starter with experience assisting a friend with his Freelancing business over the last year or so, working as a Camera/Lighting Assistant on a number of music videos and corporate videos to pay the bills and expand my skill-set whilst I've been helping another friend to open a Cafe in my hometown (assisting with Marketing, Photography and Graphic Design)
My video production journey began in 2009. I completed a Level 3 Diploma in Media Production, achieving a triple Distinction grade, whilst learning the fundamentals of Camera Operation, Editing, Studio Broadcast and Graphic Design. This led to me studying at Royal Holloway, University of London where I specialised in Cinematography and Sound Design as well as Film History/Theory. This has given me a great cohesion of technical, creative and theoretical knowledge.
My passion at University was to learn as much as I can about different Lighting Techniques; developing a sixth sense for finding the right look for the context of a script or brief. I'm also fully trained on advanced Camera Movement with practical experience working with Track & Dolly and Steadicam. I believe that by adding appropriate movement, where required, it can transform the professional look of a video and turn a simple idea into a brilliant one.
In the next couple of years I hope to meet many more like-minded creatives as we advance our skills. I have made it my mission to constantly improve and develop in a variety of different styles. Together we can innovate and provide stunning, professional content to a growing client- base.
