I'm a Durban-based graphic designer with over 6 years of agency experience, and I hate talking about myself.

Just kidding. If asked what I think the most underrated pieces of art and design in society are (No, no one asks me that question), I'd have to say the humble sticker, for their prevalence from the corporate landscape to counter-culture. I like them so much that I sometimes create my own.

A (very) brief look at my history:
I studied in Durban before moving to the UK to finish my studies. In 2015 I moved to Bangkok, Thailand, to teach English; I initially didn't know how long I would be there, but I stayed for 2 years. When I moved back to South Africa in 2017, I found a job at the agency I still work for.
My agency experience has had me doing work for both print and digital media, which usually take the form of pamphlets, logos, posters, flyers, emailers and other such marketing and advertising elements. I use Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign.

How do I fill my time when I'm not at my day job
I thoroughly enjoy surfing and am blessed to live where the water is warm and the waves are plentiful. I surf as often as I can. I work out three times a week and do yoga in the evenings five times a week for strength and flexibility. I'm a property owner and landlord of a few flats which I co-own with my brother; we split the responsibilities, but managing the property and tenants requires a fair bit of my time. Beyond that, it's friends, coffee, nature, music, personal creative endeavours (eg: photoshopping a photo of Joseph Stalin to look like he's throwing a shaka sign, or creating stickers), walking my dogs and various other life things.
Fun story about me:
My profile picture is from a hike I took in the Drakensberg with 2 friends. The hike started early in the morning and we walked all day and into the pitch black of the night because we took a wrong turn and got lost for a few hours. When we found the cave that we were meant to sleep in, I discovered that I had lost my sleeping bag along the trail. Thankfully it was January, so I wasn't in danger from the cold. A simple, but hot, gas-cooked meal was enjoyed before we all passed out. We completed the hike by the end of the next day and we had covered 52km (32 mi) over the two days that we were walking.

I cook my own food and wash my own dishes.
