About me

I believe I have a great background for taking this opportunity. My varied experience and my background in Fine Art makes me very versatile and great at using my initiative. I am proficient at using photoshop for both retouching and more extreme photo-manipulation - a skill I was able to put into practice in my work experience doing Digital Matte Painting at The Mill Post Production. I also have an excellent eye for detail, composition and colour, and I am proficient using both the Mac OSX system and Windows.

At the moment I am assisting on a Graduate Film at the National Film and Television School, making objects such as delicate flowers made from plastic shopping bags, and large Da-Vinci style drawings to cover a wall in one of the scenes. I also work at the Apple Store in Covent Garden where customer service is the most important part of my job. I work in the area where we set up our customers' new devices for them, and teach them a little about how to use them. I also help with some troubleshooting issues and I have had experience on the Genius Bar organising appointments and checking customers in when they arrive. This involves skills in organisation and a certain amount of stress-management, both for myself and for those around me!

I have been given many opportunities to use my initiative within the store. I have been part of a core team taking charge of the setup area, and driving our results there, which has had a great effect throughout the store and some aspects have been fed back company-wide! I have made a presentation to the rest of the staff in the store, and organised a week of training all about my area and how we can make it better. I have also taken part in a few of our hiring events and have provided my feedback at these events, contributing to the hiring of new staff.

I am a friendly and approachable person, I thrive under pressure, and I am always eager to push myself further and learn new things. I believe that my skills, passion and enthusiasm would be an asset to your team. This position would provide me with the ideal opportunity to assist in an environment that I love, and to do it on a more full time basis.
