About me

A creative professional with more than 30 years' experience, I am seeking a challenging and stimulating role which puts my hands back on the tools. Completely proficient in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, InCopy, and Acrobat with experience in Quark, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe XD, WordPress and other design-related programmes, as well as a working knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript, I am Apple to the core.

In addition to working within in-house design/marketing departments, I have many years' experience of working in fast-paced studios, developing proven leadership and problem solving skills, scheduling and training staff. I have expertise in concept generation and development; brand development and guardianship; infographics; brochure, catalogue and magazine layout; typography; annual reports and corporate communications; selecting and editing images; organising and directing photoshoots; producing print and online advertisements, DMs, DLs, POS, large format/event signage and marketing assets; managing studio traffic; writing and editing copy, monitoring and mentoring coworkers; liaising with clients; preflighting and troubleshooting final artwork. I also have digital experience, having created wireframes, banners, buttons, gifs and EDMs, as well as creating and updating websites with Wordpress and PyroCMS.

Efficient and well-organised, I am able to work on multiple projects, meeting tight and changing deadlines and help team members do the same. Analytical and innately curious, I am a creative problem solver who enjoys collaborating with other designers and clients. Inherent inquisitiveness drives me to explore existing technology and search out cutting-edge design. Pixel-perfect attention to detail and consistency, without sacrificing creativity, are integral elements I include in every project I'm involved with.
